Continuity of Care: Bruno |
|
Then a friend told Bruno’s owners about Western Carolina Regional Animal Hospital & Veterinary Emergency Hospital and he was brought to us for round-the-clock care. That gave his owners peace of mind that Bruno would have the professional care he needed, night or day. Equally important to them, they were welcome to come visit him during his stay.
“That was a crucial and welcome plus for us,” Bruno’s “dad” said. “Bruno has now had six surgeries in his life and, after each one, I have intuitively sensed that being with him in recovery would help him get over the hump. Any German Shepherd is bonded to his humans very closely and, in a way that only dog people can grasp, we reciprocate. So it makes sense that our being with him would relieve energy-draining separation anxiety and help give him the wherewithal to recover. I have little doubt that your willingness to have the humans share in the recoveries of the canines made a critical difference for our guy. It’s the first time a veterinarian hospital has let us be there. So we are grateful to WCRAH & VEH for being there with all the needed resources and for your service to all of us.”
