Payment Options

Payment for your pet’s care is due in full when services are performed. Fortunately, pet owners are usually able to plan in advance for most pet medical care. We offer a variety of payment options for those routine visits and especially when – as with human patients – unexpected medical expenses occur.

Before beginning any type of emergency treatment, our veterinarians will discuss your pet’s condition and recommended course of treatment with you. You will be given a fee estimate and will be expected to make a payment equal to 50 percent of expected costs prior to treatment beginning.

We accept:

  • Cash
  • Personal checks
  • Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express)
  • CareCredit, a convenient health services payment plan (visit carecredit.com to learn more or pick up a brochure in our office).

What about pet insurance?

Pet health insurance is becoming more common, with both comprehensive coverage and accident-and-illness policies available. You will be responsible for payment to WCRAH and VEH but we will provide detailed billing that you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

If pet insurance interests you, you can research various providers and types of policies online. Another option is to “self-insure” – instead of making premium payments, you could choose to tuck regular amounts into a special “pet care health account” of your own.
