Susan AndrySupport Staff Susan began working for her family veterinarian when she was in junior high school and continued working for veterinarians throughout college. She started working with Dr. Rosen more than 15 years ago and is now our office manager, taking care of staff scheduling, inventory control and daily operations. Susan works from home in Spartanburg two days a week and commutes three days a week. Susan and her husband, Mark, enjoy the company of a Boxer, a cat, three horses and, especially, a one-year-old granddaughter. |

Lyn OwenSupport Staff Lyn is the wife of Dr. Ted Owen and has more than 20 years experience as a veterinary technician. Lyn has ridden racehorses for a living and owned a commercial barn where she taught riding for 15 years. She competed in three-day eventing before switching to endurance racing, and still enjoys the trails with her Arab, Sonoma. She now spends more time pursuing performance titles and championships with her two mini-bull terriers, Stella and Gus. As a licensed real estate broker, Lyn can also find you the perfect equestrian property in the Carolina foothills. |

PJ RosenSupport Staff PJ has a Masters degree in special education with an emphasis on the arts, and has worked in therapeutic recreation, early intervention and special education. With her husband, Dr. Fred Rosen, PJ co-founded the Alive and Well Animal Rescue Center in Spartanburg; helped start a free veterinary clinic for those in need in Piedras Negras, Mexico; and made two trips to Thailand to help animals following the 2004 tsunami. PJ’s pottery has been included in many craft shows and stores throughout the US; she’s also a certified massage therapist and was selected as the United States men’s gymnastic team training camp massage therapist. Her favorite thing about working at WCRAH & VEH is “the opportunity to be with animals.” |

Jean WrightSupport Staff Jean grew up in California, earned a graduate business degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, and returned to the San Francisco Bay area to work in marketing and strategic planning for major corporations. She moved to Western North Carolina in 1993 to enjoy working and playing with animals. Jean joined the WCRAH & VEH administration team when we opened in 2008 and says she loves “the caring professional staff, the clients and especially the animals for whom we all work.” Jean lives in Tryon, NC, with three dogs and Morgan horse Coco. She enjoys trail riding and working with local arts organizations. |
