If your pet is having an emergency or needs urgent care, call us or bring your pet to our hospital as soon as possible.
Early intervention can reduce recovery time, and could even save a life.
MapWhat is considered an emergency?
If your pet has had an accident, is injured, or is experiencing any of these symptoms, please bring them in as soon as possible:
- Unconsciousness
- Heat stress or heatstroke
- Clear signs of pain or extreme anxiety
- Refusal to drink for 24 hours or more
- Severe vomiting or diarrhea; more than two episodes in 24 hours
- Bleeding from nose, mouth, rectum, or blood in the urine
- Fractured or broken bones, inability to move leg(s)
- Seizures and/or staggering
- Difficulty breathing, continuous coughing/gagging, or choking
- Inability to urinate or pass feces, or pain associated with urinating or passing feces
- You know or suspect your pet has ingested something poisonous (such as antifreeze, xylitol, chocolate, rodent poison, etc.)
We are equipped to perform emergency surgeries at our hospital.
Emergency veterinarians are always on-staff and available for urgent cases.
